Pogba Speaks After Scoring For Man United In Win Over Leicester City

Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba has said that he’s hungry for more trophies after helping his side to a 2-1 win over Leicester City in Friday’s Premier League opener.

The France international scored an early penalty for United, before Luke Shaw doubled the lead for the host as Jamie Vardy pulled one back in added time for the Foxes to give the Red Devils a narrow 2-1 victory.

Luke Shaw was also on target for United seven minutes from the end, before Jamie Vardy pulled one back in added time.

The 25-year-old only returned to training on Monday, having starred for France in their triumphant 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign.

Pogba, who captained Jose Mourinho’s side against Leicester, hopes to add more silverware to his collection.

“We should start the Premier League with a win and we did,” Pogba told Sky Sports.

“I didn’t have any pre-season games; I came back on Monday so it was very hard for the legs. The performance was OK, but we want to go up.

“Winning the World Cup is in the past. I like challenges, I want to progress and win more trophies. The World Cup will stay in my mind, but I want to win all the trophies.

“I haven’t won the Premier League, I haven’t won the Champions League, I haven’t won the European Championships. So, there are more to win.”
